Information About Filing For In-State Tuition

This needs to be started before fall classes start in August. Take a look at the Instructions for Establishing NC State Residency on how to start the ball rolling.

The first thing few items that must be accomplished before classes start are listed below:
  • Switch over your driver's license to North Carolina by going to a NC DMV location. | (click on Wake County)
  • Register your vehicle in North Carolina at a NC RMV location. | (click on Wake County)
  • Register to vote in North Carolina. (you should be able to do this at the DMV)
  • List personal property at the Wake County Courthouse for taxation. (this is automatically done after you register your vehicle)
A complete list can be found in the pdf file attached above.
Please contact Sandra Bailey for more information on filing for in-state tuition.
