Traveling to Asheville

Airport Transportation

Due to security concerns, the Asheville airport does not allow taxis to station indefinitely at the airport in hopes of securing passengers, so it's necessary to reserve transportation in advance, or be prepared to wait for a taxi to respond to a reservation call in real time. Also, since the one-way single person fare is in the range of $64, we recommend that several visitors arriving on the same flight consider either sharing a taxi, or renting a car together.

Reservations can be made with any of the following companies in advance and in each case, the shuttle fare will be divided between the riders if you're going to share the transport with someone else. Information about rental car companies appears below in the By Air section.
