Peer Mentor Summit
Peer mentoring summits are held to enable faculty to meet in small
groups and discuss career issues that are at the foundation of their individual
and collective success. Past summits have been held at national conferences
(e.g., National Society of Black Engineers, GEM) as separate roundtable
discussions or as parallel sessions with faculty participants from all
academic ranks. Future summits will continue the dialog of traits of success
in academia and provide a platform for academic leadership (e.g., deans)
to interact with faculty. The basic premise of the summits is to empower
faculty to “find their own solutions” through interacting
with other peer and senior faculty.
PURPOSE Institute Summit
The future PURPOSE Institute Summit will provide an opportunity for
a large group of faculty to meet and interact across disciplines and in
a way that provides a strong sense of community of support
